From: J.Kreemer, Atjeh I: TheBPM oil company exploited 3 hospitals in the hospital resort Tandjoeng Poera: Rantau Pandjang (Peureula), Pangkalan Brandan and Perlak. B.M. van Driel mentions the hospital at Perlak in the Mededeelingen van het Pathologisch Laboratorium te Medan no. 9 (1930). The hospital of Perlak took care of 1705 labourers of whom 19 died in 1929 (11.03 ‰). In the hospital at Rantau Pandjang are also admitted the sick coolies of the Zuid-perlak company.
